Why/How:

The semi truck was traveling west bound on Big Bend Road. The lawnmower was also west bound on Big Bend Road. At this time, it is under investigation to determine if the lawnmower was riding in the roadway or pulled out in front of the semi truck. The truck struck the rear of the lawnmower, pushed it several feet before the lawnmower caught fire which resulted in the semi tractor also catching fire.
The operator of the lawnmower died at the scene. Cause of death will be determined by the medical examiners office. The semi driver was not injured.
