On May 23, 2009, members of the District One, Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit worked in an undercover capacity, with the assistance of investigative aides to monitor beverage law violations within Hillsborough County. Twenty six alcoholic beverage vendors were arrested for selling alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21 and 3 subjects were arrested for consuming an alcoholic beverage within 500 feet of the licensed establishment. While attempting to identify one vendor, it was determined through investigation that he was wanted for violation of parole (murder) out of the state of New York. Neftali Ayala was arrested without incident, charged with the violation of parole and sale of an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21. Ayala was arrested at 3003 Busch Blvd. East. |
