On May 22, 2009, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics detectives, DEA agents and HCSO SWAT team members conducted two consecutive search warrants at 8651 Navajo Avenue in Tampa and 5411 Grove Hills Drive in Tampa. The Grove Hills address was utilized as the stash house. The warrants concluded a two month operation. Lavonne Dallas was found in possession of approximately 2,996 grams of cocaine (three kilograms), a kilogram press, drug paraphernalia and $11,940 in U.S. currency. Dallas’ vehicles, a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 and 2002 BMW were seized as part of the investigation. Dallas was charged with trafficking in cocaine and delivery of cocaine. Estimated value of the cocaine is $84,000. Dallas is currently in the Orient Road Jail being held with no bond. |
