HCSO detectives today charged James Bernard Bull, DOB 10/10/65, of 3009 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, with the first-degree murder of Alisa Jackson. The victim was killed on April 16, 2009 at 10227 Hunters Haven Boulevard, Riverview. (See press release  09-112)

The victim was killed between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on that date.

She was stabbed in her living room and then ran to her bedroom, where she was stabbed multiple times and died. The defendant, who is the victim's ex-boyfriend, then stole the woman's 2007 Toyota Highlander and abandoned it at the Hard Rock Casino and got a ride home from a friend. On April 23, 2009, the defendant was arrested and charged with the grand theft auto. The homicide investigation continued, and forensics concluded on May 4, 2009 that the victim's blood was on clothing the defendant wore the day of the homicide. The murder charge was placed on the defendant, who had been in custody on the auto theft charge.

The defendant remains at the Falkenburg Road Jail.
