Why/How:

A 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Aaron Simmons was eastbound on Apollo Beach Blvd. at a high rate of speed. The operator lost control of the motorcycle while trying to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle entered the grass median and struck a TECO utility pole. The operator of the motorcycle died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash. |
