Why/How:

This morning deputies while responding to a fight call at the Green Iguana located at 9202 Anderson road were informed of another fight in the neighboring parking lot at Waters Avenue and Anderson Road. Deputies responded and several witnesses identified the subject, David Muslin as the instigator who was picking fights with several people. Deputy Duran attempted to arrest Muslin. Muslin then got into the driver’s seat of a 2007 Jeep that was parked nearby and refused lawful commands by Deputy Duran to exit his vehicle. Deputy Duran attempted to detain Muslin by removing him from his vehicle, when Muslin put the car in gear and sped off trapping the deputy’s hand and body against the vehicle and dragging him approximately twenty feet. Deputy Duran was able to free himself from the moving car and fell onto the pavement.
Muslin fled the scene and was arrested approximately ½ mile away and taken into custody.
Deputy Duran was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. |
