Why/How:
|
The driver of the 1999 Toyota was pulling into a parking space in the Bayou Crossings Apartments where she lives and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake, causing her to jump the curb and strike the building. When she struck the building she also struck a natural gas line that was attached to the building breaking it and causing it to leak. Maintenance workers were able to shut the gas off to the apartment and no damage was done to the building.
This happened on private property and there were no injuries to anyone.
