On Saturday, March 14th, 2009, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Migrant Outreach at the District 4 Office located at 508 33rd Street South East in Ruskin.  The event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to strengthen the relationship between the Sheriff’s Office and the Hispanic community.  We will have several agencies at this event that will be providing information in Spanish on the numerous resources available to the migrant community.  Due to the community’s generosity, we will be providing each family with a free towels, bag of food, hygiene product bag, baby items, and free haircuts for children.  There will also be music, face painting, and other fun activities for the families that attend.  The Sheriff’s Office’s goal is to let the migrant community know that if they are a victim of a crime or need any assistance we are available for them.
