UPDATE – MARCH 10, 2009 On March 9, 2009 a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle seen in a security video, was located near 3926 W. Osborne Avenue. The owner Jacinto Martinez, DOB 9-11-40 admitted post Miranda he was driving the 1992 Dodge conversion van when it struck the victim Allonzo Tambriz. Jacinto Martinez was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and Tampering with evidence.
UPDATE: AS OF 12-29-08 THE HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS SEARCHING FOR 2 VEHICLES WITH THE POSSIBLE DESCRIPTIONS AS FOLLOWS:
VEHICLE #1 SMALL SIZE SUV LIGHT COLORED 4 DOOR POSSIBLY A FORD EXPLORER WITH POSSIBLE FRONT END DAMAGE
VEHICLE #2 FORD FULL SIZED CONVERSION VAN WHITE IN COLOR
VEHICLE #3 FULL SIZED FORD PICK UP TRUCK WHITE IN COLOR 4 DOOR
ONE OF THE VEHICLES HAD AFTER MARKET CLEAR LENSE FOG LIGHTS ATTACHED TO THE FRONT. THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE BELIEVES THE VICTIM WAS RUN OVER BY 3 VEHICLES INSTEAD OF THE TWO THOUGHT PREVIOUSLY. THE VICTIM REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

Hit and run traffic crash with injuries |

Why/How: |
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hit and run traffic crash that occurred on Hulsey Rd & Waters Av. The victim was walking north bound on Hulsey Rd when an unknown SUV struck the victim knocking him to the ground. A second unknown vehicle then ran over the pedestrian. Both vehicles fled the scene. The first vehicle described by witness’s as a 4 door light beige SUV with front end damage and the second vehicle described as pickup truck light in color.
The pedestrian was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in critical condition.
