Detectives charged Michael Weston for the crimes at the American Momentum Bank, 15150 N. Florida Avenue.  This occurred on January 5, 2009.  The suspect broke an exterior window of the bank and waited for the first employee who arrived around 8:00 a.m. He met a female employee at gunpoint inside and ordered her to open the vault.  When that was unsuccessful, the suspect demanded the employee’s car keys and left in her vehicle.  He abandoned the vehicle a short distance away, as well as leaving behind a black mask he wore during the crimes.  The suspect was identified through DNA.  Weston remains a suspect in other bank robberies in Hillsborough County.
