Why/How:

 

 

 

 

The driver was west bound on Waters avenue approaching the turn lane to turn onto Dale Mabry Highway.  The pedestrian ran across the road in front of the driver.  After striking the pedestrian, the driver initially fled the scene but she then returned.

 

According to witnesses, the driver could not have taken any evasive action due to the pedestrian running into the path of the vehicle.

 

The pedestrian was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital.   The driver was arrested at the scene and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving injury.
