Cockfighting arrests

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip reference the whereabouts of cockfight.  When patrol units arrived they discovered a cockfight in progress, with approximately 20 individuals attending.  The event was taking place in a barn located on the premises.  When deputies arrived, all the individuals fled.  Deputies were able to apprehend the five individuals listed above.

 

Deputies discovered 36 roosters within the barn either in cages or cloth bags,

(6 of the 36 were injured) and 3 others were dead.  Animal Services will be take possession of the dead roosters.

 

All of the suspects are charged with a felony (participating in cockfight).
