These two individuals had spent the early morning slashing car tire’s, spray painting profanities on vehicles, spray painted the garage door of a home with profanities, spray painted profanities on a subdivision wall, and threw a hammer into a window of an occupied home. Deputies identified the suspects later that morning and one of the female's parents brought both of them to a sheriff's patrol office for questioning. Suspect Caitlin Lumsden denied any involvement in the crimes and told detectives she only drove the other suspect to the scenes. Suspect Kayla Harrell, who initially denied involvement, later told detectives the two ate tacos then drove around the east county area and committed the criminal mischief’s on known victims' vehicles. Deputies later located the spray paint can used to damage the vehicles, garage door and subdivision wall. The spray can had been tossed into the woods along Canning Plant Road east of Parsons Avenue.

Caitlin Lumsden was taken to the Orient Road Jail; Kayla Harrell was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center
