Arrested at 3939  Highway 301 North

On January 4, 2009, the victim (which is known to the suspect) had called the suspect and asked him for a ride. At approximately 10:30 p.m. the suspect transported the victim to a pasture located south east of 8601 Harney Road in Tampa.  Once arriving at the pasture, the suspect grabbed the victim as she attempted to exit the vehicle, by intentionally and forcibly pulling her back into the vehicle.  The victim exited the vehicle and began running when she was tackled from behind by the suspect.  The victim began fighting the suspect by grabbing him, scratching him and resisting him.  The suspect removed the victim’s clothing and sexually battered the victim.  The suspect struck the victim repeatedly throughout the course of the battery leaving notable abrasions and lacerations. 

After the battery, the victim re-entered the vehicle asking the suspect to leave and take her home.  While driving the suspect refused to stop and the victim fearing for her safety, exited the moving vehicle by jumping out the passenger side window. 

The victim reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office and alerts were placed for the suspect and his vehicle (Green Mini Van).  A deputy spotted the vehicle at the Citgo located at 3939 Highway 301 North and the suspect was arrested without incident.
