On January 4, 2009 at approximately 2:42 p.m. a traffic crash occurred on Mud Lake Road south of Bugg Road.  A 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer being driven by Brett Fuller was northbound on Mud Lake Road and for unknown reasons lost control of his vehicle.  The vehicle left the roadway coming to rest in a strawberry field.  The vehicle overturned several times, ejecting and causing fatal injuries to the driver, Brett Fuller who was unrestrained.  The passenger, William White was restrained by his seatbelt and received minor injuries.
