Todd Ryan is the Chief Information Officer for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, responsible for ensuring that technology serves and protects those who serve and protect. He has lived in the Tampa area since 1990 and has been with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office since 2000, initially as a volunteer Reserve 2 Deputy.
Previously, Todd spent most of his 32 years in Information Technology management roles with large corporations including General Motors / EDS, Bealls Inc, and Pegasus Transtech. He has spoken at numerous conferences and was a member of the first Computer Science curriculum development committee at Kent State University. He has completed over 20 certifications and received numerous awards and commendations, but his greatest achievements have been serving those who dedicate their lives to keeping him and his family safe.
A lifelong volunteer, he has previously volunteered with the St. Petersburg Police Department, various charitable organizations, and anywhere he can lend a hand. A lifelong learner, he is presently a member of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) working group and is the Government Facilities Sector Chief with the Tampabay InfraGard chapter.
