Department of Patrol Services

Colonel Robinson is a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County and has served with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office since 1995. He began his career as a patrol deputy and has gained experience in many components of the Sheriff’s Office during his career, to include: DUI Enforcement; Street Crimes; and covert detective assignments within the Organized Crime Bureau and the Special Investigations Division.

Colonel Robinson has held supervisory positions in Department of Patrol Services, Professional Standards, Street Crimes, the Special Investigations Division and the Criminal Investigations Division.

Since 1997, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office operated four patrol districts. On May 8, 2017, HCSO opened a new patrol district, District V. Prior to being promoted to his current rank, Colonel Robinson was the first Major of the newly formed District and tasked with the planning, implementation and operation of District V. The transition to five patrol districts has been a success and it enables the Sheriff’s Office to better serve the citizens of Hillsborough County.

Colonel Robinson now commands the Department of Patrol Services.
