Captain Ed Raburn is the Deputy Division Commander for the Court Operations Division. He is a Florida native and lifelong resident of Hillsborough County. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology from Florida Gulf Coast University. He has been married to his wife, Christie for 20 years and has two teenaged children.
Captain Raburn began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office in 1997 at the age of 22. He has served as a patrol deputy, a school resource deputy, as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, and served in the Homeland Security Division as a Special Incident Management deputy. Before assuming his current role, Captain Raburn held supervisory roles in patrol districts I, II, and III, the Traffic Enforcement Unit, the Homeland Security Division, and the Community Outreach Division.
