Major Ed Raburn is the Commander of the Court Operations Division. He is a Florida native and lifelong resident of Hillsborough County. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology from Florida Gulf Coast University. He has been married to his wife, Christie for more than 20 years and has two teenaged children.
Major Raburn began his career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office in 1997 at the age of 22. He has served as a patrol deputy, a school resource deputy, as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, and served in the Homeland Security Division as a Special Incident Management deputy.
Major Raburn held supervisory roles in patrol districts I, II, and III, the Traffic Enforcement Unit, the Agriculture Unit, the Homeland Security Division, and the Community Outreach Division. Major Raburn also served as a team leader on the Crisis Negotiation Team.
Before assuming his current role, Major Raburn was the Deputy Division Commander for the Court Operations Division.
