Christina Porter joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2011 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer overseeing the Financial Services Division. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the financial reporting and management of the daily accounting functions including accounts receivable/payable, cash bonds, purchasing, contracts, grants, inmate accounting, payroll, travel, and property records maintenance and annual physical inventory.
Mrs. Porter was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting. She has been a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for over 22 years. In addition, she is a member of the Florida Government Finance Officers Association. She has worked in government for most of her career, attaining the positions of Field Office Supervisor in the Tampa Office of the Florida Auditor General and as the Director of Administration with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
